ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT USING TALLY

The daughter of a farm labourer, Gayatri Padvi, completed her graduation in Bachelor of Arts but could not secure a job to earn a living. She then enrolled at the Atul Institute of Vocational Excellence (AIVE) for the course of Accounts Assistant. She is now placed in a shopping mall in Surat and earns a comfortable living for herself and her family.

ELECTRICIAN

After completing his schooling, Kiran Gavda decided to look for employment opportunities to support his family. With no graduation, it became difficult to land a decent job. He then enrolled at AIVE for an electrician course. With the support of the placement assistance team, he is now employed by a reputed company through which he supports his family’s financial needs.

BEDSIDE ASSISTANT

Sanjay was born to a family of farmers in Netrang, Gujarat. The heavy dependence on rainwater for agriculture often resulted in losses and financial difficulties for his family. He was determined to create a brighter future for his parents and of course, himself. This motivated him to join the placement-linked program called Bedside Assistance at AIVE.

After completing the course, Sanjay has started working with a clinic and is supporting his family to a large extent.

CHEMICAL PLANT OPERATOR – PROCESS ATTENDANT

Pradip was born into a family of farmers in Bharuch, Gujarat. After 12th, he pursued training at ITI in COPA. However, Pradip was unable to find a decent job for himself. Later, he enrolled in the placement-linked training program of AIVE and completed the Chemical Process Attendant course. Today, he works as a DCS plant operator at a leading company in Gujarat.

His perseverance, effort and self-belief have yielded tangible results and enabled him to extend a helping hand to his father.

CELLULAR PHONE REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Mayur, a graduate at AIVE, is quite an expert in mobile repairing.

While at school, Mayur was interested in different parts of a mobile phone than in his studies! He heard about the various vocational courses organised by AIVE from a friend after which he enrolled in the institute’s cellular phone repair and maintenance technician course.

At AIVE, Mayur received an in-depth understanding of software and hardware repair. Currently, he is employed with a mobile repair shop in Navsari. He also repairs mobile phones at customers’ home as an additional source of income. In future, he is keen to run his own shop.

COMPUTER HARDWARE REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Jayshree lives in Dharampur, Valsad. She completed her high school education and pursued a course in Computer Hardware and Maintenance at AIVE. Upon completion of the course in December 2015, she secured her first placement in the small town of Atul.

Jayshree’s mother was later diagnosed with a severe illness which led Jayshree to move back to Dharampur and take care of her mother.

She has since resumed working, become self-reliant and is able to take care of her mother while also pursuing a degree in Arts.

DATA ENTRY OPERATOR

Hina belongs to the Narmada district of Gujarat. Financial challenges in her family compelled her to quit studies after Class 12. On the recommendation of a friend, Hina enrolled for the Data Entry Course at AIVE. After completing this training, she was placed as a computer teacher at an ashramshala managed by Kasturba Sevashram Trust. The soft skills training that Hina received at AIVE helped her to a large extent in public speaking. Her dedication also prompted the ashramshala to sponsor her higher education.

Today, Hina holds a graduate degree in Arts and takes pride in being financially independent.

ELECTRICIAN

Mitesh was born to a family of farmers in Vansda, Gujarat. After dropping out of college, he enrolled for the Domestic Electrician course at AIVE. He secured a well-paying job after completing this training.

Mitesh went on to start his own venture of providing lighting at various events such as weddings and festivals.

Stories like these reinforce the importance of skill development and never losing self-belief.

INDUSTRIAL SEWING MACHINE OPERATOR

Bhumika, a resident of Umarpada in Gujarat, enrolled for the Industrial Sewing Machine Operator course on recommendation of a friend. She secured her first placement at a company in Surat. With savings from her job, she started her own tailoring business at home.

Bhumika has also started attending college and takes pride in being a financially independent woman.

REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING TECHNICIAN (RAC)

Pravin learnt about AIVE at a field camp and enrolled for the RAC course. He got placed with a company in Surat after completing the training. He purchased his first motorcycle to travel in the city with the help of his savings.

Today, he has built his own house in his village and has become self-reliant and independent.

WELDING TECHNICIAN

Binyamin was born in Tapi to a family of farmers. He left school midway to enrol in a welding course at ITI, Ukai. He completed his training but was unable to find a decent job.

Binyamin took admission in the Welding Technician course at AIVE and secured his first placement in a company in his hometown. He is amongst the few lucky ones who has a job and also devotes time to farming on his own land.
